YoungLives is about walking through life supporting one another. We realize that we aren’t alone because we have a community of caring people to walk with us through whatever life has, and faith that Christ is there to lead the way.

Teen mothers, through age twenty, get the chance to connect with adult women as mentors as well as with guest presenters from various organizations and community positions who can provide information and resources. Together, these women will be resources that will help support young moms as they navigate through the journey of being a mother.

Why We Are Here

Being a young mom can be an intimidating task. YoungLives wants to serve you and help meet the needs of both you and your child.
We do this by helping with anything from the everyday parenting challenges like finding child care and navigating the confusing government support systems to meeting your needs as a parent. Mothers of all ages have needs that include the need for emotional support,  lunch dates, fun outings with other moms and children, peers to connect and share with, and even something as simple as laughter! YoungLives mentors are here to try and help meet those needs.

We like to get together regularly as a group to eat, play, connect and show off our little ones. As moms & mentors feel a connection they can make plans on their own to meet up & hang out.

What To Expect

YoungLives meets twice a month at Young Life for fellowship, food, and a chance to support each other. Occasionally there are guest presenters. Also, monthly & seasonal group activities are planned for moms & kids.  To top it all off, moms get the opportunity to attend one of Young Life’s summer camps with their child, mentor, & a childcare provider. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Check out our Program & Events Calendar for dates of upcoming YoungLives meetings and activities.

Parenting Class

We meet monthly throughout the school year from 10-11:30 am at a time to be determined. Check the calendar for more information.  We spend the time enjoying a nutritious lunch, crafts, "Mommy & Me" time, and guest speakers on various topics that are helpful to new parents.

The Parenting Class is open to all expecting and new parents from the Alternative Learning Center and YoungLives alumni.
